Backstage Café was established in the mythical “Ohel” theater. The stature and the carefully renovated space create a unique and spectacular atmosphere. In the café space and the central atrium, the walls of the building are still decorated with the posters of the plays, as if only yesterday the screen went up with applause. The interior of the hotel was inspired by the backstage of the theater: the central space – which can be viewed from the higher floors of the hotel, is filled with natural light that enters from a high-altitude glass ceiling and opens up to guests a colorful, eclectic and beautiful space.

The place offers a varied and elegant buffet of breads, pastries and beverages; a tray overflowing with various salads, cheese and fish; And when ordering at the table, the guests are invited to choose a personal hot dish, such as sunny-side-up on salty French toast and Gouda, bread pudding with egg and tarragon salad,

The curating of two artists: Liron Cohen and Ruti De Vries – for the public spaces and hotel rooms, was made based on the connection of their works to an artistic style that prevailed during the period of activity of the Ohel Theater. The paintings of the two artists communicate with each other and in most of them – one can find different characters that also echo the spirit of the theater.
